So it seems I had a few activities with the latest firmware that were fine. The suggestion was to do hard resets/reboots of the devices and remove and then re-sync the HRM-PRO to the devices. I have been very happy with my HRM-PRO so far, just had two slightly glitchy activities at the start of this month. I am going to do the resets and see
If you simply pair the HRM, wear it, and track a run with the HRM and Epix, running power should work automatically with the default settings. Default is that the HRM does distance and pace indoors, and GPS/Epix does distance and pace outside. You can change that in the sensor settings on your watch, but you probably don't need to.
Winter is coming and I started using the Tacx Neo 2 yesterday. The app was updated, but still there is no heart rate (I tried with both HRM1 and HRM Run). On my Windows 10 Laptop the USB dongle is recognized properly, but the HRMs are not recognized. It works fine with Zwift, but not with the Tacx App - no connection to the HRM at all.
So I bought my HRM Pro in January, have used it for about 1 month when I noticed it didn't connect to my devices on Thursday. Tried doing everything to connect it and in the end I tried to delete it from my devices and reconnect it again. Didn't work. Opened it up and changed the battery, and measured the old one which was drained.
I've had similar experiences with my FR 45. After using it for mobths, HR reading started jumping high during excercises, way above my HR max. I contacted Garmin support and tried everything they suggested, including factory reset. They finally sent me a chest strap to test with, which worked fine.
